The Importance of Using Hashtags on Raising Awareness about Social Issues

چکیده
Hashtags are a great way for people to search topics on social networks that have common theme. This study tried explore the importance and power of hashtags gained popularity, raising awareness about issues. 252 participants (118 males 134 females) participated in this study. In order collect data, questionnaire survey was used. The final consisted 20 items. It 4-point Likert scale: (1) Strongly disagree, (2) Disagree, (3) Agree, (4) agree. Means, standard deviations, t-test degrees were scored analyze participants’ responses items questionnaire. results revealed overall degree expected benefits using events high. Moreover, also there no statistically significant differences, regarding gender (male female).
